After many hours of searching the internet looking for the perfect tattoo artist I came across José and his instagram, his work is phenomenal! The realism and shadows he can produce with ink is truly one of a kind. I’m from CA and traveled to Texas to see him twice. I had José create a mid-full back piece for me & he made my vision come to life.
This was my first major tattoo and with Josés gentle hand I was able to complete 6 hour sessions with little to no pain. José is friendly, very professional and truly a master of his trade. I highly recommend José to get the piece of your dreams!

When it comes to tattoo realism, Jose is one of the famous artists in Texas. The time and care he puts into each piece is second to none and I am always amazed at the results. I have sat with Jose for at least 10 sessions and I would not trust another artist with the details of my tattoos.

I would strongly recommend getting a tattoo from Jose Contreras! is a Top Tattoo Artists in Dallas, I just got my first major piece. And I was super nervous however Jose was super chill and made it a comfortable environment. So my experience could not have been better. Not only did he make an incredible design, but the tattoo looked just like the stencil!! His attention to detail is out of this world. And I’ll be getting lots more pieces from him in the near future!
