In the heart of Austin, Texas the Live Music Capital of the World every tattoo session has the potential to become unforgettable. But when your clients are Zacky Vengeance (guitarist of Avenged Sevenfold) and his girlfriend Erika, and the design draws directly from his brand new solo album Dark Horse, the experience reaches another level.
The session began as a custom lighthouse tattoo for Erika (@hillcountrypearl), inspired by the song “Lighthouse” from Zacky’s debut solo album Dark Horse (released April 3, 2026). What started as one piece quickly turned into something even more special when I also had the honor of tattooing Zacky himself. As a lifelong Avenged Sevenfold fan since I was 15 years old, being trusted to ink one of my musical heroes was a full-circle moment I’ll never forget.
The Tattoo Process

Working in my private studio in Austin, we focused on clean lines, deep shading, and hyper-realistic detail — the hallmarks of my black and grey realism style.
The lighthouse design came out with incredible depth and atmosphere, perfectly capturing the emotion behind the song.
