Not every warrior carries a sword. And not every warrior tattoo is about battle - Jose Contreras Art

Not every warrior carries a sword.
And not every warrior tattoo is about battle.

Most of the time, the warriors I tattoo come with stories of pain, resilience, and invisible scars.
Sometimes they’re men. Sometimes they’re women.
Sometimes they wear armor.
Sometimes all they have is a steady gaze that says,
“I’m still standing.”

For me, tattooing a warrior isn’t about showing strength
It’s about honoring it. It’s a way of saying:
“I’ve been through it. I’ve survived. And I’m still here.”

“Every warrior I tattoo is different. Some are tributes to someone they’ve lost.
Some are reminders of a promise. Some are about being reborn and reclaiming who they are.”
— José Contreras

I’ve tattooed warriors with swords, shields, and bare hands. Women with wolves, with birds of prey, with scars and fire in their eyes. Each piece tells a story. Each story holds a battle.
And every battle deserves to be honored.

What about you?

Is there something you’ve been through that shaped you?
Something you overcame and want to carry with pride?

If you’ve ever thought about getting a warrior tattoo maybe it’s not just about the design.
Maybe it’s about finally recognizing that part of yourself.

I’m here to help you give that story a form with ink, with soul, and with meaning.
