Since I started tattooing, I’ve noticed there are certain animals people are drawn
to over and over again.
The lion is one of the most powerful.
But not everyone gets a lion tattoo for the same reason. Some see it as a symbol of strength.
Others, of protection, leadership, courage or even quiet dignity.
And that’s exactly what I love about these pieces:
one animal, a thousand personal meanings.
Sometimes it’s a hyper realistic portrait with an intense gaze.
Other times, a more symbolic composition maybe with elements that speak of transformation, survival, or protection. The challenge (and the art) lies in making sure that lion isn’t just visually strong, but emotionally powerful too.
