Meaning in Ink: From Austin FC Players to Personal Stories

When people ask what kind of tattoos I enjoy creating the most, the answer is simple:
pieces that carry meaning.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many individuals who value intention behind their tattoos — including players from Austin FC.
When I tattooed Brandon Vázquez, the design centered around balance.
On his left leg, we created two fish, one white and one black, inspired by the concept of yin and yang.
Opposites moving together, representing harmony, discipline, and duality.
For Owen Wolff, the meaning was deeply personal in a different way. His tattoo included his jersey number,
33, alongside the word “Family.”
A simple composition, but one that reflects something essential about who he is and what drives him.
What I appreciate about moments like these is not the visibility that comes with tattooing professional athletes.
It’s the reminder that no matter who sits in the chair — an athlete, an entrepreneur, or someone honoring a personal milestone — the intention behind the tattoo is what matters most.
That’s how I approach every project.
